Hope everything is going well in at home.
Yesterday we had another lovely tour with Jan... He showed tried to show how Rome of antiquity transformed into Medieval Rome. Unfortunately I only took two pictures... BUT here they are ;-)
As well as another random assortment
I could post up some notes next time we get internet..
These 2 pictures just show how the old temples and forums fell into disuse and were no longer maintained when Rome's population dwindled to only 10% if what it was in it's hey day. Anyway.. the buildings looked like crap so people started to build around and on them.. ..pretty interesting till you think about how the whole of rome is just the same, the old built ontop of even older, built ontop of even older then the older...
